The Associação Bauru Basketball Team or only Bauru Basket, for sponsorship reasons named Paschoalotto/Bauru, is a Brazilian professional basketball team from Bauru, São Paulo, Brazil that plays in the Novo Basquete Brasil league. ==History== The team, also known as Paschoalotto Bauru for sponsorship reasons or just Bauru, was the second team of the Brazilian guard Leandro Barbosa. Barbosa was an important player during the old Brazilian Championship, in 2002. In that year, Bauru won the title, after a series against Araraquara. Barbosa and his teammates Marcus Vinicius, Murilo Becker, Vanderlei and others won the series by 3-0. In NBB's first season (2008–2009), Bauru signed the American Brazilian guard Larry Taylor, who still plays for the team. In the NBB's fourth season (2011–2012), Taylor, helped by the young player Gui Deodato, the experienced Fernando Fischer and other American, Jeff Agba, led the team to the sixth place in the season.〔http://www.lnb.com.br〕 In 2015, Bauru won its first FIBA Americas League and was crowned the continental champion for the first time.
